Preferred seasonal parking passes gives access to all tiers of Squaw Valley's parking structure located by the Members Locker Room. Preferred parking grants you access to all 3 levels of the parking structure with no blackout days. Some levels are even covered for those pow days! The 2019-20 parking passes will not be valid until November 1, 2019 due to upgrades of the preferred parking gates and they will be valid until the end of the 2019-20 winter season. A refundable deposit will be charged for new parking guests for the Transponder at time of pick-up.

How do I pick up my transponder? 

In order to pick up your transponder, please visit the Squaw Valley ticket office with a valid ID. There is a refundable deposit of $50 required on all new transponders. 

I have my transponder from last year. Does it need to be reactivated? 

If you are renewing your transponder from last year, it will be done automatically for you. If you have any questions or issues, please visit the Squaw Valley ticket office with a valid ID.

How can I purchase my Preferred Parking pass? 

Guests can purchase online, by calling, or swinging by the office. If they are renewing guest with a transponder already, we activate their transponder for the season with no need to stop by the office. If they are a new guest, they just need to stop by the office to pick up a parking transponder. There is a $50 refundable deposit when picking up the transponder.

Does Preferred Parking sell out quickly? 

Yes! This is one of our more popular products. 

Is parking guaranteed? 

The earlier you arrive, the better. On very, very rare occassions, the parking structure will fill up on a pow day. 

My transponder doesn't seem to be working. What's going on? 

The transponder works best if located in the passenger side of your window away from window tinting, FasTrak, or any other electronic tag. It is best at a height of 4 - 5 ½ feet off the ground. It may be necessary to mount it in the lower corner of your windshield or on your visor depending on the type of vehicle. When approaching the entrance or exit, remain in your vehicle. The gates’ antennas are only activated when your car is over the magnetic reader in the concrete. When following other vehicles entering or exiting, do not piggyback while the gate is open; wait for the arm to lower and reopen. Please note: Failure to follow this instruction may end up locking you in/out of the parking complex. If you have followed all of these tips closely and are still having trouble, please come see us in the main ticket office at Squaw Valley. 

I need to leave my car in the structure overnight. Will I get ticketed? 

Parking structure hours are 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM; there is no overnight parking.  Failure to remove a vehicle at night may result in towing, booting, or ticketing. In cases of after-hours issues at the gates, please contact security at (530)-386-2538 for assistance on leaving the parking structure.
