  • Check in at 9am at the Guest Services & Sales Center to purchase or pick up clinic voucher
  • Meet at 9:15am at the Ski & Snowboard School Meeting Area on the snow to the west of the Main Lodge, between Hot Wheels and Roundhouse chairs
Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be submitted via our Ski School Cancellation Form. Lessons cancelled after 1pm the day prior will incur a $20 cancellation fee for group lessons and a $45 cancellation fee for private lessons. Same day/or no show cancellations are subject to the full charge of the lesson. For same day cancellations, if you decide to re-schedule for another day a $20 administrative fee will be incurred for group lessons and a $45 administrative fee will be incurred for private lessons.

What is considered an “Expert” skier?

You want to explore some of the most challenging and technical terrain on the mountain.

What is considered an “Advanced” skier?

You want to improve your black diamond skiing and learn skills to ski this terrain with more confidence.

What is an “Intermediate” skier?

You want to improve your technique on blue runs and develop new skills to ski more of the mountain with confidence.

What is the minimum skiera bility level required to participate? 

Participants should be comfortable on some groomed blue runs, want to improve their skills on all blue groomed runs, and venture into ungroomed blue territory. 

Can I reserve my WOW clinic ahead of time?

Absolutely. Advanced reservation of our WOW clinics is preferred and saves you $20 by booking 48 hours in advance.   Reservations can be made over the phone at 530-452-4349/800-403-0206 or online.

Can both snowboarders take the WOW clinic?

The WOW clinics are for skiers only. 

Are there any age restrictions in WOW Clinics?

Yes, WOW clinics are for ages 13 and up. 

My instructor was great and I would like to show my appreciation! Is it appropriate to tip my instructor?

Gratuities are not expected but are always appreciated. 

May I ski at both Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows during my WOW Clinic?

Due to the clinic only being 2.5 hours, there is not time to ski both mountains.  You can take the Squaw Valley clinic on Wednesday mornings and the Alpine Meadows clinic on Sunday mornings to experience both mountains!

What should I bring?

Please bring:

  • Sunscreen above SPF 15
  • Water bottle
  • Appropriate layered clothing to be outdoors for several hours
  • Waterproof gloves or mittens. If it is snowing consider bringing a second pair
  • Goggles are strongly recommended
  • A snack in your pocket for eating on the chairlift
