Lake Tahoe Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows Transportation Mountaineer

Mountaineer offers an intra-valley transit program in partnership with Downtowner and SATCo. Mountaineer provides free, on-demand transportation for residents and guests visiting Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows.

How it works
  1. Download the app available on iTunes Store and Google Play Store to get started
  2. Using the app, request a ride from one of six ten-person 4WD, dog-friendly vans that seat up to eight passengers and come equipped with ski & snowboard racks. One van is ADA accessible.
  3. Take Mountaineer to your desired location within Squaw or within Alpine. To go between the two resorts, use the Squaw Alpine Express.
  4. You can summon Mountaineer from anywhere within each valley, and Mountaineer will take you wherever you need to go within that valley. For example, you can take Mountaineer from your Snoventures at Squaw Valley back to the Resort at Squaw Creek, or at Alpine, you can take Mountaineer from your AirBnB up to the lifts.
  5. Starting points and endpoints do not have to be Squaw or Alpine specific. This is a community service that will take you anywhere within each valley.
