With our Worry-Free Guarantee, you can plan with confidence knowing that you have an opportunity for a refund and more flexible cancellation policies. Here's how it works:

Pre-purchase any of our 2020-21 winter products listed below and you will lock in our low early-season rates and have until November 20, 2020 to obtain a FULL REFUND, no questions asked. After November 20, 2020, we will continue to offer partial refunds or rollovers in the event the ski/ride season is shortened as a result of Covid-19.

So go ahead.  Start planning and dreaming about winter days spent on the mountain making turns.  It will be here before you know it.

  • This policy applies only to Resort closure based on Covid-19. Standard product and ticket policies apply to all other closures (including, without limitation, weather, power/utility, road condition, etc.), and any such closures during periods of operation count as operating days.
  • Lodging and Ski School will maintain normal cancelation policies as defined at the time of purchase.
  • In the event that the resort opens, closes and then reopens, the total days for the season will be calculated by totaling all days open, from opening day through May 31, 2020 (or later if the Resort is still operating), less days closed due to Covid-19.
  • Ski resort opening is defined as the first day that Squaw Alpine opens at least one aerial lift for the purpose of downhill skiing or riding. Carpets and other surface lifts excluded.
  • Squaw Alpine Passes include adaptive and military passes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What products does the Worry-Free Guarantee cover?

The Worry-Free Guarantee covers specified products pre-purchased directly from Squaw Alpine for the upcoming winter season. Products must be purchased no later than November 20. This includes ski team, seasonal lockers, preferred parking, ski school multi-week products, rentals and demos, activities such as tubing, online lift tickets, corporate tickets, group tickets, shop tickets, military, professional affiliate and adaptive season passes, and ticket packs such as the Tahoe Super 4.

Mountain Collective and Ikon passes are NOT included within the Worry-Free Guarantee program

How do I request a refund?

To receive a full refund, please fill out this request form no later than 4pm PST, Nov 20, 2020.

What if the product I am purchasing already has a refund/cancellation policy such as lodging and ski school lessons?

In the event that a product has additional refund options outside of the Worry-Free Guarantee, the most preferable to you will be honored. For instance, depending on the cancellation policy for ski school lessons you will receive whatever policy is in your best interest.

If the season opens, closes and then reopens, when can I expect you to calculate the refund percentage as per the Worry-Free Guarantee?

In the event that the resort, opens, closes and then reopens, the total days for the season will be calculated as all days open from opening day through May 31 (or later if Resort is still operating) less days closed due to Covid-19.

If the resort is closed due to weather day closures, do these count as closed days for the purpose of the refund calculation?

No. Only days where the resort is closed due to Covid-19 are counted in the calculation as closed days. Closures due to weather, road, utility or other non-Covid-19 related conditions are not counted as closed days under the Worry-Free Guarantee.

Does the Worry-Free Guarantee cover Squaw Alpine Adaptive and Military passes?

Yes, so long as they are purchased earlier than November 20.

Will Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows be open for winter 20/21?

At this time, we plan to be open for the 20/21 winter season. 

In the event that my purchase is rolled over to the following year, 21/22, will I have to pay for changes in the price of the product?

No. If you opt for a rollover, your purchase is protected, and you will be able to use it for the same product the next year, even if the price goes up. In the event we do not offer the same product the next year, we will provide a credit equal to the refund that was available at the time of the closure.

Does the Worry-Free Guarantee program apply to Ikon pass products?

The Worry-Free Guarantee does not apply to Ikon products or Mountain Collective.  Please visit ikonpass.com for information on Ikon Pass purchases and Ikon's Adventure Assurance program

Does the Worry-Free Guarantee program apply to products purchased from third parties?

No. The WFG applies only to products purchased directly from Squaw Alpine.

Does the Worry-Free Guarantee program provide credits in the event that I don’t fully utilize the product for reasons not related to a Covid-19 closure?

No, lack of use of a product due to any reason other than Covid-19 related closure is not covered, and would not provide a refund, credit, or rollover option.

When will the calculation and processing of refunds be completed?

Full refunds claimed by November 20 will be processed over the next few months. Refunds based on Covid-19 shortened season will be calculated as of May 31 (or later if the Resort is still operating).

If I request a full refund before November 20, can I later change my mind and restore my product during the 20/21 season?

No, if you requested a refund prior to November 20, you can only purchase a new product at its then-currently available price. If you requested a rollover prior to November 20, you can apply the amount you paid as a credit towards the same product, at its then-currently available price.

Can I get a credit and use it towards other products if there is a resort closure due to Covid-19?

Yes. If we close due to Covid-19 and you want to select a different product than the product you initially purchased, upon your request we will issue a credit for the same amount as the refund otherwise available under this guarantee. No cash refunds will be offered for the remaining balance. 

What is the difference between a credit and a rollover?

A credit is applying a product dollar value to be used towards another product. The guest must pay the difference if the credit is less than the value of the product.

A rollover is extending the product expiration date to the following season, allowing the guest to use the product during the next season, without paying any additional money.

The safety and security of our guests and team members continue to remain our highest priority.  In addition to our more flexible refund and cancelation policies, we will also be taking additional measures to ensure a heightened level of health and hygiene. These measures include but are not limited to:

  • Rigorous cleaning and sanitization process with a focus on high-touch surfaces and common areas 
  • Additional handwashing & sanitization stations have been added in high traffic locations 
  • Employees are being trained on our updated cleanliness policy and will only return to work once they’ve completed this training
  • Requiring employees and guests to wear masks when inside common areas
  • Furniture layout updated for physical distancing
