Mostly sunny skies expected Saturday. Temperatures in the 40s. Winds increasing from the southwest through the day on Saturday gusting up to 60+ mph up top by afternoon possibly affecting some lifts.
Cold Front Saturday Night - Sunday:
Saturday night a cold front moves through from the north. We could see a quick shot of snow with the front with only a dusting to a coating of snow possible by Sunday morning.
Highs drop into the 30s at the base and 20s on the mountain for Sunday. We will see increasing northeast winds through the day gusting to 70+ mph by afternoon. That may close some upper mountain lifts and will make it feel even colder.
Monday - Thursday:
We should see sunny skies again for Monday - Thursday. We could still see gusty northeast winds Monday with gusts of 40-50 mph up top. Then diminishing Tuesday. Highs in the 30s up top and 40s at the base Monday, and 40s through Thursday.
Friday Into President's Weekend:
We may see a couple of weak systems move down from the north Friday & next Sunday bringing shots of colder air and a chance for light snow. We will watch the trend on the track of these systems through the week to see if we will stay dry or could see a few inches of snow with each.
The drier pattern may continue into the week of the 17th. Currently, there are no significant storms in the long-range outlook, but we will let you know as soon as there are.
