Tuesday through Thursday high pressure builds in over CA bringing dry and mild weather. Expect sun with highs in the 40's. Winds are gusting to 50+ mph up top on Tuesday and Thursday with storms moving through to our north which could cause lift delays.
High-pressure shifts east by Thursday night opening the storm door back up. We could see a weak system move through Thursday night into Friday morning bringing an inch or two of snow to the mountain.
It looks like a break on Saturday with highs in the 40's. Then Sunday the next storm could move in bringing more snow into Sunday night with colder temperatures. The forecast models are not in agreement on whether or not this storm digs deep enough to bring us snow, so I'll hold off on a forecast today.
There is better agreement that another storm moving in for Monday into Tuesday will dig deep enough to bring several inches of snow for Christmas Eve into Christmas Day.
A trough over the West Coast could bring below average temperatures and more snow from the through the 28th. Then the long-range forecast models are split on whether or not storms continue into the new year, or we ridge up with a drier pattern.
