Sun and clouds for Saturday and windy. Southwest winds gusting to 70+ mph up top, possibly closing some upper mountain lifts. Highs dropping into the 40s.
Saturday Night - Sunday Storm:
Snow showers could push in as early as Saturday evening ahead of the cold front, with steadier snow expected overnight as the front moves through. Then scattered snow showers possible into Sunday. Snow levels starting below the base. Highs only in the 20s on Sunday. Ridgetop winds gusting from the northeast up to 40+ mph making it feel even colder. Winds could increase again Sunday afternoon.
The latest forecast model runs show enough precipitation for 3-5 inches of fresh snow at the base and 5-8 inches on the upper mountain by Sunday afternoon.
Monday - Thursday:
Next week we could see another dry week. We start the week sunny and cold with highs in the 30s up top and 40s at the base Monday, with a brisk northeast wind continuing. Then we could stay dry through Thursday with temperatures warming into the 40s & 50s starting Tuesday.
Friday - Saturday:
The next system may move in from the northwest Friday into next Saturday. We will be tracking that all week.
The pattern shift next weekend may last through mid-month. That could bring us the chance for wetter systems the week of the 9th.
