For Sunday we have some clouds and sun. We are expecting high temperatures into the low 40's by afternoon. Upper mountain winds could gust to 40 mph.
The next storm should push in on Monday. This storm is weakening and splitting as it moves into CA. Right now amounts look light with only a coating to an inch for the mountain at best. We could see strong wind gusts up top on Monday to 40+ mph. Highs drop into the 30's.
Tuesday high pressure builds in. We should have sun Tuesday and Thursday. Wednesday we have a chance of clouds and some gusty winds up top as a storm moves through well to our north. Temperatures over the 3 days are expected to warm into the 40's.
Clouds and winds may increase on Friday ahead of the next storm moving in by Friday night. This storm looks to weaken as it moves into CA. But the trend on the latest forecast model runs has been to hold this storm together a little better. We will continue to watch all week as this storm could bring a few inches of snow.
We could see a break on Saturday, but a stronger storm looks like it will push in Saturday night into Sunday. This storm has the potential to bring significant snowfall, so we will be tracking it all week.
There could be a 3rd storm moving in right behind the Sunday storm for Monday the 17th.
Looking at the long-range forecast models, they show the possibility of another storm around the 20th. Then a pattern change for the holidays could build high pressure over the West Coast bringing a drier pattern, but storms could break under the high-pressure ridge into CA bringing a wet pattern.
