Another weak system moves in during the morning hours Thursday and clearing out during the afternoon. This one looks slightly wetter and could drop 1-3 inches of new snow on the mountain. Snow levels well below the base. Winds Thursday only gusting to 30+ mph up top. Highs in the 30s at the base and 20s on the upper mountain.
A break Friday with sun and slightly warmer temps. Highs in the 30s on the upper mountain and 40s at the base. Winds are lighter in the morning but could increase up top later in the afternoon ahead of the next system.
For the weekend, we could see another weak system bring snow showers early morning through the day on Saturday before ending by evening. Snowfall amounts look light again with this system, maybe 1-2 inches of new snow. Highs in the 30s at the base & 20s on the upper mountain. We could see gusty winds on Saturday gusting to 70+ mph up top in the morning and 50+ mph in the afternoon. That could bring some wind holds in the morning.
We may see a break for Sunday with some sun, cold temps, and winds gusting to 40+ mph up top.
Monday - Tuesday Storms:
Another weak system could move in during the early morning hours Monday through the day. This system looks weak like the Saturday system. We may only see 1-2 inches of snow on the mountain. It's cold still with highs in the 30s at the base and 20s on the upper mountain. Ridgetop winds may be gusting to 50+ mph possibly affecting some lifts.
Another weak system could push in right on the heels of the Monday storm. We could see snow showers continue Monday night into Tuesday with a few more inches of snow possible. We will fine-tune the details for these storms as we get closer.
We may see a break Wednesday. Then potentially a stronger storm next Thursday - Friday.
We could see cold and snow showers for MLK weekend. Then a drier pattern is possible the week of the 20th.
