Monday will be the last completely dry day before we go into an unsettled pattern. Moisture may push in as early as Tuesday from an area of low pressure spinning over South CA. Snow levels will be high.
Then Wednesday into Thursday a colder trough approaches the West Coast. The latest forecast model trends have the trough staying to our North with another area of low pressure dropping down the coast. That will keep the precip going through Thursday, but will keep the colder air from pushing in. Snow levels may stay at 8000 feet or higher through Thursday. Above the snow line we could see several inches of snow.
Another system moves through on Friday. Right now it looks like this system will stay to our North, but it could continue some light precip.
Next weekend it looks like we could have a break in the storms with some drier weather. Then by Monday the 27th a colder storm may be approaching the West Coast that could bring some snow Monday into Tuesday.
