14,000+ retired staff jackets donated to developing countries
Since 2009, Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows has donated over 14,000 retired uniform jackets to National Ski Areas Association’s (NSAA) Sharing Warmth Around the Globe (SWAG) and to other natural disaster relief efforts, including 2,000 to the victims of the 2015 earthquake in Nepal. The SWAG organization coordinates the distribution of old ski uniforms each year to those in need in cold weather countries around the world.
“Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows has donated an impressive number of garments to help people in need around the world through SWAG. Kudos to the resort and all of the employees who have helped make a difference through this great program!” -- Geraldine Link, National Ski Areas Association
