The snow should begin falling on the mountain this morning as the next storm moves in. The biggest change this morning is to raise snow levels slightly and decrease snow:water ratios for the storm.
The storm will bring heavy precipitation today through Wednesday night and could linger into Thursday morning. Inititally snow levels could start down near the base but should rise to the 7000-7500 foot level by tonight. On Wednesday slightly cooler air moves in as the main area of low pressure moves in off the Pacific ocean. That should lower snow levels closer to 7000 feet.
Total snowfall amounts on the mountain by Thursday morning should be 1-2 feet with the highest amounts on the upper half of the mountain.
Another weak system may move through Friday night bringing light snowfall but not expecting much in the way of accumulations. Over the weekend dry weather moves in with sunshine and temperatures in the 30's and 40's.
Next week a strong jet stream pushes into the West Coast to our North. By Thursday it may push down into Northern CA bringing us a cold storm. We will be watching that for our next chance of snow after this storm.
