Tuesday Morning Snowfall Report and Forecast

Category: Weather
Report

The upper mountain above 8,000 feet picked up 3 inches of snow so far from this storm. The lower mountain we saw just rain showers as snow levels fluctuated 7500-8500 feet the past 24 hours.

The final forecast yesterday for totals by tomorrow morning was 0-4 inches above 7,000 feet, and 4-9 inches above 8,000 feet. We could still see a little more snow today into this evening up top.

The Forecast

Cloudy today with a chance for more rain and snow showers. Temperatures in the 30's on the mountain and low 40's at the base. Snow levels into this evening still fluctuating around 8,000 feet.

Above the snow line we could see another inch or two of snow through this evening if we see some heavier showers move through. Winds could gust 30-40 mph up top today.

Post Storm Through the Weekend

Wednesday we start to clear out but still some clouds and cool with temperatures in the 30's up high and 40's down low. Wind gusts tomorrow could still be 30-40 mph up top.

Breezy conditions could continue Thursday. As high pressure continues to build in Thursday into the weekend we will see sunny skies. High temps will warm into the 40's on the upper mountain, and 50's down low.

Next Week

Next week we could see the first storm move in as early as Monday night. It looks like we are heading into a stormier pattern next week that could last for at least a week. The storms do have colder air with them. We will have to watch the track and hope the storm dig far enough South for heavy precip and colder air.
