[Olympic Valley, Calif.] February 9, 2016 – Valentine’s Day is for families and lovebirds alike this year at Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, with a double header of the new Farm to Table Dinner + Movie series, the 33rd annual Wildflour Poetry Contest, Valentine’s cookie decorating, free treats and lots of live music. Guests can take in spectacular views of Lake Tahoe from the peaks of Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows, cozy up by the fire at each base area, and enjoy a full lineup of events:
Valentine’s Day Farm to Table Dinner + Movie Series
Celebrate Valentine’s Day on Sunday, February 14th, with a four-course meal created by Squaw Valley chefs in partnership with The Tahoe Food Hub and local farmers. Come at 5:00 p.m. with the whole family to catch “Cinderella” on the big screen at Olympic Village Lodge, or bring a date to the 8:00 p.m. showing of “Silver Linings Playbook,” which will feature a more intimate seating arrangement for couples to get cozy amidst the ambiance of the grand fireplace. Wildflour Valentine’s Poetry Contest and Cookie Decorating at Squaw Valley
Since 1983, the Wildflour Poetry Contest takes over the pillars in the bottom level of Olympic House. Entry is free, and this year’s entries will be posted on the Skier Board with a deadline for entry on February 14 at 6 p.m. Winners will receive Wildflour Cookie Passes. For $12, Wildflour will personalize and decorate heart-shaped chocolate chip cookies on February 13 and 14.

Enjoy live music by Coburn Station from 1-4 p.m. at KT Base Bar Deck.
Kid’s Deck Party & Cookie Happy Hour at Alpine Meadows
Families can enjoy kid-friendly jams from Rob Leines and snack on delicious treats during Cookie Happy Hour from 1-3 p.m. on the sun deck at Alpine Meadows Lodge.
