Squaw Valley | Alpine Meadows is Open for the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend with Skiing, Riding and Activities for All Ages and Abilities
In addition to operating 11 lifts with access to 39 trails and 16 groomed runs, the resort is offering snow tubing and free guided snowshoeing

[Olympic Valley, Calif.] Nov. 22, 2017 – Following last week’s early-season snowfall, Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows is open for skiing, riding and activities seven days a week. The resort is operating 11 lifts from 9am to 4pm, giving skiers and riders access to 39 trails and 16 groomed runs. With terrain for all abilities, including the High Camp beginner area, intermediate terrain off Shirley Lake Express, Gold Coast Express and Kangaroo chair, and advanced terrain off Siberia Express and Emigrant, Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows currently has one of its largest terrain offerings for the Thanksgiving holiday in years. Additionally, the SnoVentures activity zone will offer ‘Hike and Slide’ Tubing from 11am-4pm for $20 per hour and free guided snowshoe hikes will be available starting at 10:30am and 1:30pm at High Camp. Tubing and Snowshoeing will be offered through Sunday.
With an incredible early-season terrain offering, the Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows Ski and Snowboard School is grateful to be able to share the joy of skiing and riding with guests. Squaw Valley’s new High Camp Marketplace will open for the first time on Thursday and will remain open through the weekend. The Marketplace, which is open from 9am-4pm, offers healthy grab-and-go meals and snacks, coffee, espresso, wine and beer plus all of the essential gear and accessories for a day out on the mountain. Additionally, Rocker@Squaw will re-open on Thursday following its remodel this fall. Rocker@Squaw will be open from 11am-6pm on Thanksgiving, 11am – 10pm Friday and Saturday and 10am - 9pm on Sunday. Gold Coast will also offer food and drink at the ARC restaurant and Gold Coast Bar.
