Sunny through Thursday, Weak Storms for the Weekend

Category: Weather
Midweek:

We will have some sun and milder temperatures for Wednesday and Thursday.  High temperatures are expected to warm into the 40's.

Friday Night System:

Clouds and winds may increase on Friday ahead of the next storm moving in by Friday night.  Watch for upper mountain lift delays possible as wind gusts could reach 60 mph.

This storm looks to weaken as well as it moves into CA.  Right now it looks like we could see a dusting of snow at best from this storm.  A couple models show an inch or two, but not expecting that much right now.

Sunday Storm:

We should see a break on Saturday with some sun and highs in the 40's.

Another storm looks like it will push in by Sunday evening into Monday morning.  Expect increasing clouds and gusty winds for Sunday ahead of the storm.  Temperatures should cool back into the 30's.

This storm is weakening as well as it moves in, but it is starting out stronger than the other storms and could hold together enough to bring us some snow.  Initial estimates are for 1-3 inches at the base and 3-5 inches on the mountain.  Let's hope the storm doesn't continue to weaken and we can get some snow from this storm.

Long-Range:

It looks like high pressure will build in by next Tuesday the 18th bringing a drier and milder pattern.

The long-range forecast models are all over the place through the holidays.  We will continue to watch to see if we can break out of the drier pattern the last week of December.
