Friday - Saturday:
We could see some clouds Friday from a system passing to the north but some sun into Saturday. Lighter winds expected into Saturday morning before increasing late Saturday into Saturday night. Gusting to 30+ mph up top Saturday afternoon Highs in the 40s on the upper mountain and 50s at the base.
A cold front moves through from the north on Sunday with clouds, gusty winds, colder temperatures, and a chance for a few snow showers. Highs in the 30s on the mountain and 40s at the base. Winds gusting up to 70+ mph from the southwest up top, possibly closing some upper mountain lifts. We could see clouds & sun with a few scattered snow showers during the day, but not expecting more than a dusting of snow.
We should see a mainly dry pattern next week. We start cool with highs in the 30s Wednesday, with a cool northeast wind gusting to 30-40 mph up top. Then warming later in the week into the 40s and maybe 50s at the base by the end of the week.
The drier pattern may continue into the weekend of the 22nd. Then another Sunday cold front could move through from the north next Sunday bringing another chance for gusty winds, colder temperatures, and snow showers.
We are watching the end of the month into the first week of March as the long-range models suggest we could possibly start to see a pattern change, away from the high pressure that has been stuck near the CA coast keeping us dry.
