We saw snow showers Saturday into Saturday evening with an inch falling at the base and 4 inches of new snow up top.
Sunday - Monday:
Temperatures stay cool for Sunday - Monday, in the 30s on the mountain to near 40 at the base for highs. A system sitting off the coast could stream clouds and some moisture into the area during the 2-day period. That will bring sun & clouds with the chance for scattered snow showers at times over the mountain.
It looks like we could see a dusting to an inch of snow at best on the upper mountain over the two days. Expecting lighter SW winds gusting to 25+ mph up top.
Tuesday - Thursday:
The system off the coast will move into CA Tue - Thu bringing the chance for rain & snow showers to the mountains. We will be on the northern edge of the system as it moves through southern CA. That may keep us mainly dry with sun & clouds mostly, and the outside chance for a few showers. Snow levels could rise above the base to around 7000-7500 ft. by Wednesday. Lighter winds turning east on Tuesday.
We may see a mostly sunny day on Friday with highs in the 40s on the mountain and 50s at the base.
Then for next weekend, we are watching another storm moving down from the north. That will bring us colder air and the chance for more snow next weekend. We will be tracking this system all week to see how much snow we could see.
