[Olympic Valley, Calif.] November 16, 2015Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows launches Tahoe Pass Quest, a social media competition that awards Grand Prize Winners with 2015-16 adult Gold Tahoe Super Passes which will kick off on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 12:01 a.m. PST and run until Monday, December 14 at 11:59 a.m. PST. Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows will host the competition through its social channels Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. The promotion follows the ski resort’s early opening and the forecasted El Niño that will drive heavy snowfall in the Sierra Nevadas during the upcoming winter and spring ski season.

Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows has selected numerous secret locations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento and Reno-Tahoe areas which will be revealed to social media followers in an online scavenger hunt through a series of posts. Contest clues will be posted at #TahoePassQuest at various dates and times during the entry period. There will be a Grand Prize Winner awarded in the contest each day that a clue is posted at #TahoePassQuest.

“We’re thrilled to kick off our first social media contest and offer a fun, engaging way to share in the joy with our Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows community about the great ski season ahead,” said Director of Marketing Christine Horvath. “We wanted to get people excited about visiting Tahoe and getting back on the mountain, especially since we were able to open early this season, and we’re looking forward to connecting with previous and first-time ski and snowboard visitors.”
