Snowy Easter through Wednesday

Category: Weather

Today will be the last mild and sunny day except for the winds picking up as the cold storm approaches.  The snow will begin falling on the mountain late tonight into the early morning hours, and should last into Sunday evening.  We could see 2-4 inches of snow at the base and 4-8 inches on the mountain by Monday morning.

We will see a short break Monday before the next storm moves in Tuesday morning.  This storm has the potential to drop slightly more snow.  We could see 3-6 inches to the base and 6-9 inches on the mountain by Wednesday morning.  Snow showers may linger into Wednesday morning but the storm moves out and we start to clear.

Temperatures will be cold through the period with gusty winds of 40-50 mph up top.  High's will only be in the 30's at the base andn 20's on the mountain through the period and the wind chills will make it feel colder.

We should see a break the 2nd half of the week into next weekend.  The next chance for a cold trough and snow looks to be the beginning of the following week around the 13th-14th.
