Tuesday:

We will have dry weather Tuesday. We could see some increasing clouds and winds later in the day ahead of the next storm.

Wednesday System:

For Wednesday we see a system move in that is splitting and weakening. By the time it reaches the Sierra we may only see light snow showers. The snow showers could arrive by sunrise Wednesday and diminishing after sunset. We could see 1-2 inches of new snow on the mountain.

Thursday - Saturday:

Thursday through the day on Saturday we should stay dry with the next storm staying off the coast. Highs in the 30s on the mountain, warming into the 40s at the base Friday into Saturday. Winds increasing Saturday ahead of the next storm, with ridgetop gusts to 50+ mph.

Sunday Storm:

The latest forecast model runs show precipitation moving into the Sierra Sunday - Sunday night. That should bring light-moderate snow to the mountain. It still looks like only lighter amounts of snow are possible through Sunday night, a few to several inches on the mountain. We will continue to fine-tune the forecast as we get closer.

Long-Range:

Next week we may have a cold and drier pattern with the possibility for a weak system or two to move through with some snow. The long-range models continue to suggest the next storm moves in around Christmas Day.
