Saturday Morning System:
Saturday morning we have snow showers then clearing in the afternoon. We could see up to an inch of snow on the mountain during the morning. The winds are gusting to 60+ mph up top causing some lift closures. The winds come down through the day but still expected to be gusting to 40+ mph in the afternoon up top. Highs in the 30s on the mountain to near 40 at the base.
Sunday - Tuesday:
Expecting mostly sunny skies Sunday through Tuesday with lighter winds. Highs in the 30's on the mountain to near 40 at the base. Sunday winds could be gusting to 40+ mph up top, and then lighter for Monday.
Tuesday night we could see a fast-moving system move through with light snow to the base. The latest forecast models show 1-2 inches of new snow possible. We'll keep an eye on it over the next few days.
Wednesday - Friday:
We could see partly sunny skies Wednesday - Friday with highs in the 30s. There is the chance for more snow showers Thursday from another weak system moving through. Then expecting drier weather for Friday. Friday we could see increasing winds ahead of the next storm.
Next weekend we could see a cold system bring snow for most of the weekend. Depending on the track we may just see light snow, or if the system tracks just a bit west over the ocean we could see heavier snow. We will be tracking the weekend storm all week to fine-tune the forecast.
Going through the week of the 13th we are expecting the cold pattern to continue. The pattern may open up to some bigger storms that week.
