We saw cooler air move in over the weekend with high temperatures dropping back into the 40's at the base and 30's up high. The sun and quiet weather will continue through Thursday.
By Friday the high pressure ridge responsible for the quiet weather we have been seeing begins to weaken. A storm pushes into the Pacific NW which may bring some wind and clouds Friday and Saturday. Some forecast models bring the precip far enough South for light snow showers on the mountians.
Sunday the jet stream pushes further South as the system begins to weaken. That may push the precip further South into the Tahoe basin Sunday into Sunday night. That may bring us a few inches of snow.
Next week a cold system may push down from the North bringing some colder air and light snow.
We will continue to watch the system for this weekend to see how much snow we could pick up.
