Colder air has moved in this week. Highs are only in the 20's on the mountain today and will stay in the 30's up top through the week.
By Friday another cold trough will drop down the West Coast. Low pressure will track down over land Friday into Saturday. This is a dry track for storms, but the low may be able to pull in enough moisture to bring us several inches of snow this weekend.
The snow may start on Friday and last into Saturday morning. The current model trends are showing enough liquid with this storm to bring us around 4-8 inches of snow. This is a cold storm so it will be snowing into the Village where we could see a few inches of snow.
Behind the storm cold air will be in place. Another cold system may drop down the West Coast next Tuesday bringing us a chance for more light snowfall.
After that we may see a break. There are signs that the ridge of high pressure off the coast may back up more going through the month of March. That would allow subsequent storms to come down over water by mid-month, possibly bringing a bit more snowfall than the dry storms coming down over land this week.
