We have seen 16 inches of snow so far this Fall at High Camp and we will see several more chances for snowfall this week into the weekend.
The first storm system will move in Tuesday night into Wednesday. This storm is expected to bring colder air and light snowfall to the mountains. We could see a coating to an inch or two of accumulation by the end of the day on Wednesday.
The second system will move down into Northern CA from the Northwest Thursday night into Friday. This storm is colder with a better chance of seeing a light accumulation in the Village. On the mountains we could see a few inches of snow.
The third system moves in Friday night into Saturday. This storm looks like it will be the strongest of the 3 with a strong jet stream moving into the West Coast to our North. We could see several inches up to a foot on the upper half of the mountains and several inches down to the bases.
Next week the forecast models are suggesting that we return to a more quiet pattern. Hopefully the storms continue to bring early season snowfall.
I will update on how much snow fell Wednesday on Thursday, and we will take another look at the snowfall potential for the end of the week into the weekend.
