We have breezy conditions today and Thursday with North winds gusting to 25 mph. We will have sun with high temperatures in the 40's on the mountain.
Changes are coming Thursday night as a cold storm moves down the West Coast bringing colder air and snow for Friday and Saturday. The moisture is limited with this storm, but it will be cold so we could pick up several inches of snow by Saturday night. We are expected light snow showers during the day Friday and Saturday. We could see a few inches each day during the day. Storm totals by Saturday night could be around 3-6 inches at the base, and 6-12 inches from bottom to top on the mountain.
Sunday we clear out but the cold weather along with sun remains through Monday. Then by Tuesday we could see another cold storm drop down from the North. The forecast models are split on whether we see similar snowfall amounts as the first storm, or if we just get a glancing blow as the system slides down just to our East. We will be tracking that.
By next Wednesday we may transition to a quieter weather pattern for about a week. Then we may transition back to a colder and unsettled pattern beyond the 10th of the month.
