The next storm pushes in Tuesday and lasting into Thursday night. Snow levels could hover just above the base around 6,500'-7,000 feet through Wednesday before falling behind a cold front Wednesday night into Thursday. Expecting heavy wet snow on the mountain through Wednesday with some drier/powdery snow possible Thursday into Thursday night.
We could see 1-3 inches of snow above the snow line Tuesday, 1-3 inches Tuesday night, and 7-11 inches Wednesday. Rain expected at the base. Then Wednesday night through Thursday night we could see an additional 3-6 inches of snow at the base, and 6-10 inches on the mountains. That is a storm total of 18-27 inches on the upper mountain by Friday morning.
Scattered snow showers possible into Friday. Colder temperatures expected Thursday-Friday, with highs only in the 20's on the mountain and 30's at the base.
We may see a break in the storms for the weekend as the next storm drops down off the CA coast. It may come close enough to bring some clouds and a few scattered snow showers. Colder air remains over the area with highs in the 20's on the upper mountain and 30's at the base.
We could see a break on Monday. Then a weak system could brush us with light snow Tuesday.
We could see a drier pattern starting next Wednesday through the 3rd week of March.
