Rain into Saturday Morning, Nice Weather Sunday-Monday

Category: Weather

The Storm:

Rain today (Friday) with highs in the 40's.  The rain continues tonight with snow levels well above the top of the mountain.

Saturday we will have rain in the morning with some clearing in the afternoon.  The cold air arrival is trending slower on the latest model runs, which will lower the possible snowfall amounts on the mountain before the storm ends.  Snow levels fall to 7,000 feet by the time the storm ends midday.  We could see a few inches of snow above 8000 feet by the end of the storm, and only a coating of snow below that.

Highs in the 30's on the mountain and 40's at the base, falling in the afternoon behind the cold front.  High ridge top winds to 70+ mph likey affecting lift operations.

Nice Weather:

Sunday into Monday we should see sun and temperatures warming into the 40's & 50's on the mountain, and 50' & 60's at the base.

Unsettled Weather Continues:

Tuesday we could be brushed by a system that brings some light rain and temperatures back into the 40's.

A quick break Wednesday and then Wednesday night into Thursday we could see a colder storm that brings a several inches of snow to the mountain.

After another break next Friday we could see a cold and snowy weekend the weekend of the 14th.  We could continue to see a storm drop in every few days through the 3rd week of April.
