Quieter Weather Pattern Ahead

Category: Weather
Snowfall Report:

Light snow showers Sunday evening brought a fresh coating of snow to the mountain. Just under an inch on the measurement.

Monday:

Expecting mostly cloudy skies for the morning with some clearing in the afternoon highs in the 30s. Gusty northeast winds gusting to 50+ mph up top, which could affect some lift operations.

New Year's Eve - New Year's Day:

Tuesday high pressure builds in with highs in the 30s on the mountain and lighter winds. Expecting sunny skies and beautiful weather for New Year's Eve. Overnight lows for New Year's Eve down into the 20s.

New Year's Day a storm moving through to our north could bring some clouds. We could also see more strong winds with west winds gusting to 65+ mph. That could close some upper mountain lifts again. Highs warming into the 40s at the base.

Through the 1st Week of January:

We should see some sun again Thursday and another system to the north Saturday & Sunday could bring more clouds. Winds could still be gusty up top, gusting to 30+ mph through the period with the storm track just to our north.

Expecting dry weather through the 1st week of January. Temperatures in the 40s at the base, and then for most of the mountain by this weekend into next week.

Long-Range:

It looks like we could possibly transition to a colder and more active pattern for the 2nd week of January. But that is still 10 days away so it could change.
