Preparing for Winter

The Past Week

We saw some colder temperatures this past week that allowed for snowmaking at night.

This Weekend

We have seen some milder weather move in for this weekend which has brought a break to the cold overnight temps for snowmaking. High temperatures are in the 60's at the base with overnight lows in the 30's.

The Week Ahead

The good news is that colder air is expected to move back in this upcoming week starting the 5th. High temperatures should cool into the 50's, with overnight lows down into the 20's at the base. That may allow for snowmaking to start back up again. The mountain will be making snow at every opportunity in order to get open by the 16th or as soon as possible thereafter.

We are keeping an eye on a possible storm around the 11th-12th but it is definitely not a guarantee. It would be nice to get some natural snow to help get the season going. We will keep an eye to the sky and let you know as soon as we see a stormy pattern setup.
