Partly Cloudy Through Sunday, Then Snow Most of Next Week

Category: Weather
Friday-Sunday:

Sun and clouds, lighter winds, and temperatures into the 30's on the mountain all 3 days.  Mountain top winds gusts look to be around 25-35 mph.

More Storms:

A system moves into Southern CA Monday into Monday night.  That could push in some light snow, with 2-4 inches possible on the mountain by Tuesday morning.

Tuesday into Tuesday night the next system pushes in.  There is a lot of forecast model disagreement with this storm.  We could see light snow or heavy snow with this storm depending on how much moisture it pulls in.  Right now expecting several more inches of snow by Wednesday morning.

The 3rd storm looks to be the strongest and wettest.  It should move in by Wednesday night and could last into Thursday night.  Winds don't look very strong with the first two systems, but they should be strong with this 3rd storm as the jet stream takes aim at Central CA.  This storm could pull in a lot of moisture off the Pacific bringing significant snowfall by Friday morning.

We will fine-tune the details for each storm as we get closer.  Snow levels currently look like they will stay well below the base through the week.

Long-Range:

There is the chance for a final storm Saturday the 19th.  Then we may transition into a drier pattern starting the 20th through the last week of January.
