Projected Operations for the Weekend

Squaw Valley

Our teams are working tirelessly to get terrain open, but new snow moving in today has slowed us down a bit. Have no fear, though, because we've got full crews ready to shovel, clear lifts of deep snow, build transit roads, perform snow safety, set up resort boundaries and terrain markings and so much more that goes into getting terrain open! The next lifts on the docket to re-open between Friday-Monday are:

  • Siberia
  • Solitude
  • Emigrant
  • Broken Arrow
  • Headwall: Teams will be out there tomorrow morning, after getting all the above lifts open, to dig out and put chairs back on the line. There was damage from winds to the top lift shack, which will also need to be fixed. Chairs were taken off the line during this storm to prevent damage - we saw over 150mph winds at the top of Headwall at some times. Patrol will also need to reestablish all terrain markings and boundaries as this storm completely buried them. Keep in mind setup for Headwall takes half a day in good conditions.
  • Granite Chief. All boundaries are completely buried and need to be reset. Typically, this takes half a day to a full day in good conditions. We will know more as we make progress tomorrow.
  • Belmont
  • The Pulley
Alpine Meadows
  • Summit
  • Hot Wheels
  • Lakeview
  • Meadows
  • Roundhouse
  • Scott
  • Sherwood
  • Subway
  • Yellow
  • Big Carpet
  • Little Carpet
