Sunny and mild today and Tuesday with light to calm winds and highs in the 40's. That will feel a lot different after the cold air and high winds over the weekend. The good news is that the colder air has brought back good snowmaking conditions!
Tuesday night into Wednesday a cold front moves through bringing back the colder air with highs in the 30's into the weekend. It also bring a chance for snowfall with 2-4 inches possible at the base, and 3-6 inches possible on the mountain.
The winds will pick up again by Tuesday night with strong gusts into Wednesday, so watch for lift delays or closures possibly on Wednesday.
Going into the Weekend:
The weather should stay dry and cool Thursday through the weekend. Highs temperatures should stay in the 30's on the mountain with decreasing winds.
The dry pattern may continue into through the middle of next week with temperatures remaining seasonal in the 30's for highs.
We are watching to see if storms could break into CA the 2nd half of next week into New Years Eve as high pressure shifts NW away from the area.
There is about a 50/50 chance we could see storms break through into CA. If not we may just see another shot of colder air.
