We have quiet weather Saturday with some sun and temperatures into the 40's on the upper mountain, and 50's at the base. Winds are light with ridge top gusts to 30 mph.
Sunday we have increasing clouds and winds with highs in the 40's. Ridge top wind gusts will reach 70+ mph by afternoon. Expect some upper mountain lift issues by Sunday afternoon with the winds.
We have a cold storm coming in for Sunday night where a cold front brings in a shot of snow and much colder air. We drop highs back into the 20's and 30's again for Monday. We could see additional snow showers Monday before the storm moves out by evening.
Using the latest forecast model runs, we could see 5-10 inches at the base with this storm, and 10-15 inches on the upper mountain by Monday morning. Another inch or two could fall Monday afternoon with the lingering snow showers.
Temperatures stay cool Tuesday into Wednesday with highs in the 30's on the upper mountain and 40's at the base, with some sun. A final weaker system could move through Wednesday night into Thursday bringing some light snowfall to the mountain. Early guess is 1-3 inches of snow.
As we go through the end of April we could see some shots of cooler air and maybe a shower as some troughs move through. But overall the storms could be done. We could see mostly dry weather through the end of the month, but we will keep an eye to the sky for any stragglers to roll in with bonus snow.
