Partly cloudy and mild for Friday. Highs into the 40s. Southwest winds gusting to 45+ mph up top by this afternoon.
Saturday Morning System:
Saturday morning we have a chance for rain/snow showers as we catch the southern edge of a system moving through to the north. We could see showers during the morning then clearing in the afternoon. Snow levels around 6500-7000 ft. expected, so we could see some rain showers at the base and snow showers on the upper mountain. Maybe a coating of snow up top.
The winds are expected to be strong, especially Saturday morning. Gusts to 65+ mph up top which should put several upper mountain lifts on wind hold in the morning. The winds come down through the day but still expected to be gusting to 45+ mph in the afternoon up top. Highs in the 30s on the mountain to near 40 at the base.
Sunday - Tuesday:
Expecting mostly sunny skies Sunday through Tuesday with lighter winds. Highs in the 30's on the mountain to near 40 at the base.
Tuesday night we could see a fast-moving system move through with light snow to the base. The latest forecast models show a coating to an inch of snow possible. We'll keep an eye on it over the next few days.
We could see sunny skies Wednesday - Thursday with highs in the 30s. Next weekend we may transition to a cold and unsettled pattern with snow that weekend. We'll be tracking that all week.
Going towards and beyond mid-month, the pattern may become progressively more active with stronger storms possible.
