We are seeing gusty winds and some light snow showers today. Monday through Wednesday we will see partly cloudy skies with breezy conditions and highs in the 40's.
A strong jet stream currently taking aim at the Pacific NW will lower into Northern CA on Thursday, along with a cold front pushing through. That will bring significant snowfall to the mountains.
Looking at the current forecast model runs we could see 1-2 feet of snow in the village by Friday morning, and 2-3 feet on the mountain.
Another strong storm but colder than the Thursday storm could move in next weekend. This storm has the potential to bring similar snowfall totals.
The pattern through the 3rd week of December looks to remain active with below average temperatures.
