A weak storm moves in around 9-10 AM Tuesday with light snow possible through Tuesday evening before ending. Expecting strong winds with this system. Ridgetop winds could be gusting to 80+ mph Tuesday, likely closing some upper mountain lifts. Highs in the 30s.
By Tuesday night we could see totals of 1-3 inches at the base, and 2-4 inches of snow up on the mountain.
Wednesday - Friday:
High pressure builds in with a drier pattern for Wednesday through Saturday morning. We could see partly to mostly cloudy skies as the active storm track is just to our north. Expecting lighter winds through the period. Temperatures warming into the 40s for highs.
The Weekend Storm:
The next storm moves in sometime Saturday and lasting into Sunday. This storm has been trending a little stronger on recent forecast model runs.
Snow levels will start high with this storm on Saturday around 7500 ft. Then lowering to the base by Sunday morning. Early estimates are for 6-12 inches of snow on the mountain. We will continue to fine-tune the timing, snow levels, and snowfall potential all week.
We could see another storm for early next week. Then the long-range models show a drier pattern setting up for the end of the month into the first week of February.
