Category: Weather

Wednesday - Thursday high pressure builds in over CA bringing dry and mild weather. Expect sun with highs in the 40's. Winds are light Wednesday but the could gust to 50+ mph up top on Thursday ahead of the incoming storm.

Weak Storm:

Thursday night into Friday morning a weak system moves through bringing 1-2 inches of snow to the mountain. Snow levels may stay above 7,000 feet so we could just see rain at the base. Temperatures behind the cold front are only in the 30's on Friday. Winds could remain gusty up top through the day on Friday.

The Weekend:

It looks like a break on Saturday with highs in the 30's and lighter winds.

Sunday the next storm moves in. Right now it looks like this storm could stay to our north bringing mainly clouds and gusty winds for Sunday into Sunday night. We could get brushed with some light snow showers with snow levels above 7,000 feet.

Christmas Eve Storm:

A colder and stronger storm drops in from the northwest on Monday. This storm could bring decent snowfall into Monday night before clearing out on Tuesday. The early estimates for the storm are 6-12 inches at the base and 12-18 inches on the mountain.

Behind the storm, cold air settles in with highs possibly only in the 20's on the mountain through the middle of next week. A weaker storm could drop in next Wednesday-Thursday bringing a few inches of snow.

A drier pattern may develop going into the weekend of the 28th.
