Low pressure will be sitting along the CA coast and moving very slowly down the coast into Southern CA Monday night through Thursday. That should bring periods of very light snow showers Tuesday through Wednesday.
We could see a coating to an inch during the day Tuesday. Then Tuesday night some more moisture may push in with 1-3 inches possible. Wednesday a final 1-2 inches is possible before the storm moves out Wednesday night.
For the weekend it looks like high pressure will build in over the West Coast bringing us a dry weekend. Highs could reach the low 40's at the base.
The next storm should push in on Monday the 10th. The forecast models are not sure whether or not this storm could split and bring us light amounts of snow, or hold together and bring slightly more snow. Right now amounts look light with only a few inches for the mountains.
As we go towards mid-month the storm track may shift into the Pacific NW. We could be right on the edge of the storm track to our north. That makes for a tricky long-range forecast because it will be a big difference if the storms track far enough south to hit us or track to just our north keeping us dry.
