An innovative new digital zone map helps guests maximize their experience on the snow, and personalized videos using drone technology bring the excitement home to share with friends and family. Holiday celebrations  include Santa, caroling and live music in the festively decorated Village at Squaw Valley, on-mountain tours with Olympic Gold Medalist Jonny Moseley, and a New Year’s Eve party complete with toasting and fireworks. Offering world-class mountain terrain and a vibrant village atmosphere, Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows is at the center of Lake Tahoe’s winter action.

Exclusive Drone Videography by Cape Productions at Squaw Valley
In partnership with Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, drone video service Cape Productions will be available to film guests during Dawn Patrol sessions, when guests can experience the mountain before the lifts open to the general public. Offered on select dates during the holiday season, Cape Productions’ professional videographers will utilize overhead drone technology as well as handheld cameras to film individuals or groups during three laps on 4th Tree Run in the Shirley Lake area. Within 48 hours, Cape Productions’ producers create a one-and-a-half to two minute highlight reel, the perfect gift for adrenaline junkies, families, or anyone else who wants their own Squaw Valley ski movie. Priced at $149, this one hour filming session should be booked in advance on the Cape Productions website. Cape Productions has special authorization to operate drones from the FAA, and use of drones by the general public remains prohibited at Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows per its safety policy

Dawn Patrol Sessions with Benefits for Passholders
Skiers and rides can experience exclusive access to untouched corduroy or fresh powder off of Shirley Lake Express from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. before lifts open for the general public, conditions permitting. The Dawn Patrol sessions take place Saturdays from December-March, including other select winter dates. Tahoe Super Pass Gold passholders receive two free Dawn Patrol sessions and 50 percent  off additional sessions, and Silver, Bronze + and College passholders receive 50 percent off Dawn Patrol. Reservations are recommended. Click here to learn more about becoming a Dawn Patroller. To make a reservation, call 800-403-0206.

New Zone Map
To help visitors navigate the two mountains and 6,000 acres of skiing and riding at Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, the resort has created an innovative new way to navigate: 14 zones. The zones are comprised of groupings of terrain designed to help guests ski and ride in areas that have the terrain that is just right for them. Zone descriptions include terrain details, highlights, difficulty level, and directions to get to the zone easily. The zones are easy to explore on the Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows website and mobile app.
