The wind and clouds increase on Wednesday and some light rain showers could move in by afternoon. By wednesday night ridge gusts will be up over 100 mph ahead of the strong storm Thursday.
Wednesday night the snow starts to fall on the mountain with snow levels dropping near the base by Thursday morning. The heaviest snow falls during the day Thursday with snow showers continuing Thursday night.
The snow starts out heavy and wet and transitions Thursday night to lighter snow as colder air moves in. Total snowfall by Friday morning looks like it could be around 12-18 inhces in the Village, and 18-34 inches up on the mountains.
Friday and Satruday much colder air is in place with highs only in the 20's. Gusty winds will return by Saturday as another storm approaches for Sunday.
Sunday into Sunday night another strong but colder storm moves in. This storm has the potential to bring as much or slightly more snow than the Thursday storm, and the snow will be much lighter with the cold air. 4 day totals by Monday morning could be in the 3-5 feet range if both storms come through as forecast.
Cold air stays in place next week with a quiet start to the week and then another storm could move in later in the week.
