Heavy Snow Tuesday/Wednesday

Category: Weather

We picked up another 22 inches in the past 24 hours bringing the storm total to 30 inches up top so far.

Next Storm Moving In

Heavier snow is moving in today and will continue into Wednesday Night before tapering off Thursday. Totals could be 2-3 feet at the base, and 3-5 feet on the mountain by Thursday.  Snow could briefly mix with rain at the base Wednesday morning before snow levels fall again Wednesday afternoon.

Quick Break

We have a break Thursday into Friday as some colder air moves in. Highs will be in the 30's.  We should see some sun and gusty winds Friday as the next storm approaches.

Strong Weekend Storm

We start as all snow Saturday morning as a very strong storm moves in. Snow levels rise 7000 feet by Saturday afternoon. Heavy precip continues into Monday. Snow levels rise to 8000 feet Saturday night and 8500 feet by Sunday morning. Then fall to 8000 feet Sunday afternoon, and to base level by Monday morning.

The snow should taper off by Monday night. We could see 1-2 feet of snow at the base and 2-4 feet at 7000 feet. Some of that coming before heavy rain Saturday night through Sunday night, and the rest Monday after snow levles fall. Above 8000 feet we could see 4-7 feet of snow by next Tuesday morning.

Not The End

More storms possible next week as the storm door remains open.
