The mountain picked up an additional 4 inches of fresh powder on Sunday from the snow showers behind the front. That brings the storm total to 10 inches for the storm!
Monday - Friday:
We start the week sunny and cold with highs in the 30s up top and 40s at the base Monday, with a brisk northeast wind continuing. We could see ridgetop gusts to 70+ mph in the morning dropping to 40+ in the afternoon, possibly still affecting some upper mountain lifts.
Expecting lighter winds and milder temperatures with mostly sunny skies through Friday. Temperatures warming into the 40s & 50s starting Tuesday. Winds could increase again by Friday afternoon ahead of the next storm.
Friday Night - Saturday System:
The next system moves in from the northwest Friday night into next Saturday. The models are not in agreement on total precipitation amounts. Right now we are expecting light snow Friday night into Saturday, with early estimates of 3-6 inches possible. We will be tracking that all week and fine-tuning the forecast.
The pattern shift for the weekend may last through mid-month. That could bring us the chance for another storm for the middle of next week, with more storms behind that through mid-month.
