The weak system moving through on Monday dropped another 2-4 inches of snow on the mountains. That brings the 2-day total to 14 inches on the upper mountain, and 8 inches at the base.
Christmas Eve - Christmas Day:
Expecting mostly sunny skies Tuesday morning with some increasing clouds in the afternoon, and maybe a few scattered snow showers. Highs in the 20s on the upper mountain and 30s at the base. Southwest winds are light except for gusts to 20-30 mph over the top ridges.
Wednesday another week system moves through. We could see mostly cloudy skies with a chance for snow showers throughout the day. Not expecting more than a dusting to an inch of snow. Highs still in the 20s on the upper mountain and 30s at the base. East winds gusting to 20-30 mph over the ridges.
Thursday into the Weekend:
High pressure builds in Thursday into the weekend bringing us a drier pattern. We may also warm into the 30s for highs on the mountain for the weekend. Expecting sunny skies and nice weather through Saturday.
There is the chance for another weak system Sunday into Sunday night that could bring more snow showers. We will be watching this system over the next few days to see if we will only see a dusting, or maybe up to a few inches of fresh snow.
Next week we are expecting a dry pattern as high pressure builds in over CA. We may start cold and see some warming through the week.
We will be watching for any pattern changes that could bring bigger storms in January.
