Fresh 4 Inches and Cold Air

Category: Weather
Snow Report

Squaw and Alpine won out last night as a heavier band of snow sat over the mountain dropping 4 inches!

Forecast

Cloudy and cold today with wind gusts to 40 mph this morning falling off by afternoon. We could see some scattered snow showers but not expecting additional accumulations.

Tuesday through Thursday we will have sun and clouds with highs in the 30's on the upper mountains and 40's at the base.

Some warmer air moves in Friday and Saturday with highs in the 40's on the upper mountains, and 50's at the base.

Next Storm

Sunday another cold front moves through dropping highs back into the 30's & 40's next week.

We could see some accumulating snow Sunday into Monday and from subsequent waves next week if they track far enough West to tap some Pacific moisture.  We will keep a close eye on that.

Long-Range

We may remain in this pattern of a cold front moving through every few days with a chance for light snow.

I am hoping that the storms track down closer to the coast next week and the week after so that they can pull in more moisture off the ocean and bring accumulating snows.  So we will be watching each system closely.
