Snowfall Report:

Snow showers moved in overnight with 2-3 inches falling on the mountain as of 5 a.m., and 1 inch at the base.

Weekend Storm:

That is just the beginning as the snow will pick up in intensity Saturday and start to pile up quickly. Heavy snow is expected to continue Saturday night into Sunday, with snow continuing Sunday night. Snow levels below the base. Ridgetop winds gusting from the southwest up to 80+ mph Saturday and 60+ mph for Sunday, likely closing some upper mountain lifts. Highs dropping into the 20s on the upper mountain and 30s at the base for the weekend.

This storm moves very slowly through the weekend bringing high precipitation amounts by Monday morning. We could see 1-2 feet+ of snow on the mountain from bottom to top by Sunday morning. Then we could see an additional 1-2 feet by Monday morning. Totals of 2-3 feet at the base & 3-4.5 feet on the mountain. This is expected to be a powdery snow with high snow ratios on the mountain starting Saturday night.

Monday - Wednesday Snow:

The storm slowly moves south with snow showers continuing Monday becoming more scattered Tuesday. It stays cold with highs in the 20s and 30s. Lighter winds expected starting Monday. We could see an additional 6-12 inches at the base and 12-18 inches on the mountain by Wednesday morning.

Long-Range:

Wednesday - Friday we should see sun & clouds with scattered snow showers possible as one storm departs and another approaches. Highs in the 30s.

The approaching system by the end of the week could move into CA next weekend bringing more snow to the mountain.

We could see the cool temperatures and active pattern continue through the end of the month.
