A Dry Week Ahead

Category: Weather

Clouds & sun for Saturday. Southwest winds gusting to 40+ mph up top. Highs in the 40s on the upper mountain and near 50 at the base.

A dry front moves through on Sunday with clouds, gusty winds, & slightly cooler temperatures. Highs in the 40s and slightly colder in the afternoon on the mountain behind the front. Southwest winds gusting up to 70+ mph up top, possibly closing some upper mountain lifts.

Monday - Friday:

Expecting mostly sunny skies through next week. We start cool with highs in the 30s on the upper mountain and 40s at the base Monday - Wednesday, with a cool northeast wind gusting to 30+ mph up top. Then warming Thursday - Friday into the 40s on the mountain to near 50 degrees at the base.

A cut-off low may move through southern CA next Saturday with an outside chance of some clouds & a few showers this far north. Then next Sunday we may see a system move through from the northwest with some light snow for the mountain. We will be watching the trend on that system all week.

The week of the 24th the models are split on whether we could transition back into a drier pattern, or continue to see some weak systems drop down the coast into CA.
