Thursday - Saturday:
We have partly to mostly cloudy skies Thursday as a system moves by to the north. Lighter winds with highs in the 40s.
Friday-Saturday a strong area high pressure builds in over CA. That brings us partly to mostly sunny skies and milder temperatures. Highs warming into the 50s. Expecting lighter winds through Saturday morning, with gusts to 40+ mph over the ridges later in the afternoon.
Cold Front Sunday:
Sunday we have a strong cold front moving through but with limited moisture. We could see snow showers by late morning through the afternoon. Snow levels crashing below the base at the start. By Sunday evening we could see 1-3 inches of snow.
Temperatures in the 30s in the morning with colder air moving in during the afternoon. Strong winds over the ridges gusting to 65+ mph Sunday morning, possibly affecting some upper mountain lifts. Then dropping to 40+ mph during the afternoon.
Sunny and dry weather expected through next week as high pressure builds back in off the CA coast. It's cold Monday with highs only in the 20s, and brisk northeast winds gusting to 45+ mph up top.
Lighter winds and warming temps through the rest of the week. Highs into the 30s Tuesday, 40s Wednesday-Thursday, and 50's possibly at the base by Friday.
We could see another shot of colder air and snow showers the weekend of the 8th.
The long-range models keep us in a drier pattern through mid-month. We will continue to watch the long-range to see if we could finally see some storms later in the month.
