We saw another inch of snow last night with a strong cold front that pushed through the area. Behind the front very cold air is in place with highs in the teens on the mountains.
The winds today will be gusty which will make it feel even colder than the actual air temperatures. The winds will die down Wednesday but the colder air is expected to last through Friday.
Over the weekend and into early next week high pressure will build over the West Coast. That will keep us storm free and will allow the temperatures to moderate back to more seasonal levels, in the 30's and 40's.
The next chance for storms currently looks like it could be the middle of next week into the following weekend. There is not a lot of confidence yet in what exactly the pattern change will bring for us in the form of snow storms.
We will continue to monitor the pattern and will let you know the first sign that snowfall will definitely be returning.
