Mild Finish to the Week
Sunny and mild with light winds and highs in the 40's through Friday.
Weekend Storm Moves In
Saturday the winds and clouds will start to increase. We could see light snow showers move in by late afternoon. The winds may become strong enough to close some upper mountain lifts.
Saturday night into Sunday morning a strong cold front moves through bringing high winds and heavy snowfall. We could see 9-13 inches at the base by Sunday morning and an additional 6-9 inches by Sunday evening. On the mountain we could see 10-18 inches by Sunday morning, and an additional 6-12 inches by Sunday evening. The winds remain strong into Sunday.
Behind the front much colder air moves in with highs only in the 20's on the mountains Sunday and Monday, with the winds dying down Monday. Snow showers may continue into Sunday night and even linger into Monday morning. We could see an additional 3-6 inches at the base, and 5-8 inches on the mountain from the snow showers by Monday morning.
High Pressure Returns Next Week
Starting next Tuesday high pressure builds in bringing back the sun, dry conditions, and highs climbing back into the 40's through the end of the week.
The next chance of a storm looks to the weekend of the 11th.
